What This Means:
Your hotspot is working, but your Campus Chromebook can’t access the internet.
Try This:
Step 1: Check the signal bars
Look at the small screen on the front of your hotspot.
-
You’ll see signal bars — like a cell phone.
3–4 bars = good signal.
0–1 bar = weak or no signal.
-
If the signal is low:
Move closer to a window.
Avoid basements, garages, or metal buildings.
Try going outside for a minute.
Step 2: Restart the hotspot
Press and hold the Power button until the screen turns off.
Wait 10 seconds.
Press and hold the power button again to turn it back on.
Step 3: Check your T-Mobile plan
Sometimes the plan runs out of high-speed data.
If your plan is out of data, you may still connect to Wi-Fi, but the internet won’t load.
